On Both Lists

Two guest lists, a new pair every day. Who is on both? Watch out for names written another way, and for people who only share a first or last name.

How to play

Press Show the lists (the clock starts) and tap every name in List B that is also in List A, then press Done. The same person counts even when written differently: Ann Lopez, Lopez, Ann and ANN LOPEZ are one person. Rosa Lopez is not: she only shares a last name.

Your score is how many you found, minus wrong taps, and the time settles ties. Everyone gets the same lists each day, so send your score to a friend. A new pair comes at midnight, and practice rounds are there any time.

Doing it for real

Comparing two real lists (a guest list against RSVPs, a mailing list against unsubscribes)? Compare Two Lists shows what is on both, only in one, or only in the other, and Find Near Matches catches the spellings and “Last, First” versions.
