How to play
Each day brings one puzzle, the same for everyone: seven things to put in order by a fact, such as the tallest building first or the earliest moment in history first. Move them with the arrows and press Check. The ones in the right place turn green and lock in; you have three checks to get the rest. At the end you see the right order with the figures, and you can copy your result to share. A new puzzle comes at midnight, and practice rounds are there any time.
The topics
Tall structures, mountains, planets by size and by distance from the Sun, when states joined the Union, states by area, moments in history, elements by atomic number, US presidents, animals by weight, and units of length. Two things are never so close in size or date that ranking them would be guesswork.
Where the figures come from
Steady, widely published figures: building and mountain heights as commonly listed, NASA’s planetary fact sheets, US Census Bureau state areas, the periodic table, and the order of the presidents. Animal weights vary a lot from one animal to the next, so they’re typical adult weights and marked “about”.
