Sort by Month

Puts lines in calendar order, January to December, instead of alphabetical order (April, August, December…).

What it understands

Full month names (September), three-letter abbreviations (Sep), and most other short forms (Sept) in any capitalization. The month can appear anywhere in the line. Lines in the same month are sorted by the numbers in them, so March 3 comes before March 14.

Lines without a month name move to the top.

Dates written as numbers

Dates like 2024-03-14 (year-month-day) already sort correctly with Alphabetize. US-style dates like 3/14/2024 don’t sort reliably in any text tool; switching them to year-month-day first is the dependable fix.
