The time can be anywhere in the line. If a line has more than one, the first one counts, so for “9:00–10:30 Workshop” it’s the start time. Lines without a time move to the top (to the bottom when sorting latest first), and lines with the same time keep their original order.
Times without am or pm
They are read as 24-hour times, so 2:30 is early morning and comes before 9:00. If your list means the afternoon, add pm to those times, or write them as 24-hour times (14:30).
Times with dates
This tool looks only at the time of day, so it’s good for questions like “who starts earliest?” across several days. To put dated lines in order with the time as a tie-breaker, use Sort by date.

Questions
Can it sort race results or durations?
Yes, as long as they’re written the same way. A list of all minutes:seconds (4:32.15) or all hours:minutes:seconds (1:02:03) sorts correctly. A list that mixes the two doesn’t, because 59:10 could be minutes or hours.
Is my list sent anywhere?
No. The sorting happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
