Uses
- Tally votes, survey answers or poll results
- Count names or terms when building an index
- Find which items appear most often in an order list, log file or inventory
- Count how many times each word is used (press Count words)
To get only the list of different items without counts, use Remove duplicates. To sort the counted list alphabetically instead, press A → Z on Alphabetize afterwards.

Does “Count words” ignore punctuation?
No. “end” and “end.” are counted separately. Run Remove punctuation first for a cleaner count.
How do I get just the items that are duplicated?
Count them, then everything with (1) appears once. The ones above it are the duplicates.
