The same number written two ways, like (555) 123-4567 and 555-123-4567, is listed once, the first way it appears. Extract as digits only removes spaces, dashes, dots and brackets, keeping a leading +, which is the format most spreadsheets and contact apps import best.
What it skips
Dates (2026-10-03, 10/3/2026), IP addresses, prices, decimals, ZIP codes and other short numbers, and codes that mix letters and numbers, like invoice or order numbers. A run of digits with no spaces or dashes is only counted when it’s 10 or 11 digits long, so most ID numbers are left out.
Phone numbers are written so many ways that no extractor is perfect: glance over the list before using it. Numbers written with letters (1-800-FLOWERS) aren’t found.
Next steps
Remove duplicates across several lists, compare with another list to find new contacts, or make it comma separated. Because extraction happens in your browser, contact lists stay on your computer.

Questions
Can it pull numbers from a website?
Copy the page’s text (Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C) and paste it here.
Why was a number left out?
It was probably too short, joined to letters, or looked like a date. If a number is written with spaces between every digit, remove the spaces with Find and replace first.
Does it check that a number is real?
No. It finds text shaped like a phone number; it can’t tell whether the number is in service.
