How to use it
- Raffles and giveaways: tick Take picked names off the list so nobody wins twice, then press Pick for each prize. Undo puts a name back if you need to redraw.
- Classrooms: pick who answers next, who presents first, or who gets the job of the week.
- Several at once: set How many to pick a few names in one go, in the order they were drawn.
Every name you picked earlier in this visit is listed under the result, so you can read the winners back at the end.
Is it fair?
Yes. Every entry has exactly the same chance, using your browser’s built-in secure random number generator (the kind used for encryption), not a predictable formula. A name that appears twice in the list has two entries and twice the chance, just like two raffle tickets. To give everyone one chance, use Remove duplicates first.
The picking happens in your browser. Your list is never uploaded.
Splitting a group instead?
To divide everyone into groups, use the Random team generator. To put the whole list in a random order, use Randomize a list.

Questions
Can I pick from a list separated by commas?
Yes. Names can be one per line, or separated by commas, semicolons or tabs. The format is detected automatically.
Does it remember what I picked?
Only until you leave the page. Your list itself is kept in your browser so it’s still there when you come back.
