In the spreadsheet example the town and postcode go on lines of their own, as Royal Mail asks, and the County column is left off: Royal Mail doesn’t need counties. In the last example each address ends at its postcode, so no blank lines are needed between them.

An L7160 label holds five lines of 11-point type. Longer addresses are set smaller to fit, and a label that still has too much text is shaded in the preview.

Choose the sheet in the Labels menu above. Other brands’ A4 labels with the same number per sheet and the same label size, often sold as “compatible with L7160”, print the same.
How to print on A4 labels
- Paste your addresses with a blank line between each one, or the columns copied from a spreadsheet (heading row included).
- Press Make labels and look over the preview. Half-used sheet? Set Start at label to the first empty one, counting across and then down.
- Press Print labels, and in the print window check that the paper size is A4, then choose Scale: 100% and Margins: Default or None.
Print the first page on plain paper and hold it against a label sheet before using the labels; Draw label outlines makes the check easy.
In the US? Use the Avery 5160 template, the US Letter version with 30 labels per sheet.

Is this the same as the Avery L7160 template for Word?
It prints the same layout, without Word: no template to download and no mail merge. Paste the list and print.
What’s the difference between L7160 and J8160?
The L7160 is made for laser printers and the J8160 for inkjet printers. The labels are the same size and in the same places, so they print the same.
Is L7160 the same as the US Avery 5160?
No. L7160 is A4 with 21 labels; 5160 is US Letter with 30. Choose the one printed on your packet.
Is my list uploaded?
No. Your browser lays out and prints the labels; the addresses never leave your computer.
